About Taz Ellett

Taz grew up in Ruston, Louisiana, where he attended and graduated from Louisiana Tech University. After graduation, he entered a ministry training program in Branson, Mo.  During that time, he met his wife, Theana Afendis.  Soon after their training, the two married and moved to Arkansas to start and direct a chapter of K-Life, a ministry to Jr. high and Sr. high school students.  Six years later, in 1993, and 2 children later, they moved to Wichita Falls to accept the Student Ministry position at First Presbyterian Church.  Their ministry to students and families flourished over the next 19 years, as did their own family and connections to Wichita Falls.

In 2011, Taz stepped down from his position to pursue a full-time career in real estate with one of his past students, Ashton Gustafson, whose grandparents were founders and owners of the Bishop Realtor Group.  In 2023, Taz, along with Ashton and 3 other realtors, became the principle owners of the Bishop Realtor Group.   

Taz is active in the community of Wichita Falls and has served on several boards and committees of non-profit organizations and ministries, as well as the local Board of Realtors.  He counts it a privilege to serve this community and help those who are either part of this community or moving into it...to love where they live. Taz enjoys spending time with his family and all things outdoors, especially hunting and roaming their land in the Texas panhandle.  He and Theana have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren….and growing.
